Placement
Does Bidwell Training Center assist me in starting my career after graduation?
Yes! Bidwell Training Center employs a full-time placement staff to assist students finding training-related employment. Our placement staff—part of the Student Services Department—works directly with students to assist in their career search upon graduation.
What type of assistance does placement provide?
Professional development classes are integrated into the curriculum. These classes teach you communication skills and career search techniques. Additionally, you learn how to write resumes, cover letters and thank-you letters. Prior to graduation, the placement staff brings in representatives from local employers to conduct mock interviews. The interviewer provides you with feedback as preparation for your actual employment interviews.
How does BTC’s placement staff enhance my employment opportunities?
Our placement staff works with students and directors in every major to ensure viable training-related career opportunities are made available to all graduates. Bidwell Training Center supports graduate efforts to seek employment by networking with local employers; attending career fairs, advisory board and community partner meetings; as well as reviewing Internet and newspaper postings.
