What are Academic and Support Services*?
Do you need to improve your reading, math or vocabulary skills for entry into post-secondary education or employment?
If so, let our Academic and Support Services help you build a brighter, more successful future. We will help you prepare for career training at Bidwell Training Center.
We offer small classes with one-on-one support when available and transition adult education classes in reading, vocabulary, math, and writing for post-secondary training/education applicants.
Who is eligible and what commitments are required?
- We provide classes and support services to all adults 18-years-old and older.
- The program is at no cost to you.
- We expect our learners to make a commitment to attend all scheduled learning sessions.
Where do I start?
Applying is easy:
- Transition registration is on Friday from 9am to 12pm.
- Transition classes start weekly. Students will be informed of their starting date at the registration session.
Interested in becoming a tutor?
- Our Pro Literacy of America certified tutor trainer offers daily tutor training workshops in the afternoon.
- Bidwell Training Center students and members of the community can learn literacy tutoring strategies and skills for use at BTC , at home, or in the community
